So many fitness crazes come and go, but one that has been around for a while and is becoming very popular among the online community is yoga, and below I'm going to show you my favorite top 5 yoga channels on YouTube.
But first some background. Yoga is a Hindu, spiritual discipline said to combine the body, mind and soul through breathing, meditation and postures.
It gets better. Practicing yoga has some of the most amazing benefits! The main four that people go in for is better strength, balance, flexibility, and posture. Not only does yoga do that, other benefits include: strengthening your lungs through relaxing breathing techniques, improving heart health and boosting the immune system! My personal favorite benefit is that it helps curb unnecessary food cravings!
Now sadly, yoga classes don’t always run cheap. You can sometimes find community classes taught by instructors-in-training for less than $10, but another great way to get your daily dose of yoga (for free) is through YouTube! Along with all of the fitness channels out there, there are also yoga-specific channels. Searching for the right yoga channel isn’t always easy. Sometimes the channel doesn’t have a particular type of practice you want, or they don’t have a tutorial for a pose. Well, look no further because I’ve rounded up what I think are the top 5 yoga channels on YouTube currently, and whom they could appeal to the most.

In my weight loss journey I have lost 40 kgs of fat. Today, I'm happy, motivated, confident and full of life. If I can do it, you can do it as well.
In 2012 I woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and said to myself "you are fat," so for the first time in my life, I did something about it.
Give yourself a goal: What do you want to look like what body type do you want? Then work towards meeting your goal. Here are some notes on things that I did and noticed along my weight loss journey. I hope they help!

So you’ve started your journey to weight loss. Not only have you changed your diet, but you plan on adding the gym to your schedule. Of course, the gym can be a confusing place when you arrive. Everyone has a goal body and every girl wants to know what machine will get them to that body. If you’re like most girls, you’ll avoid the weight room full of sweaty adrenaline pumped men and stick with the cardio. However, contrary to popular belief, hitting the weight room will not give you the physique of a professional WWE fighter. In fact, weight lifting can play a key role in helping you on your weight loss journey.
Guys, nothing comes easy. You know that by now. I won't lie and say "here are 10 ways to get a 6-pack overnight" because it's impossible. Getting that flat tummy you want is hard work. But, there are a few little tips that some super-healthy friends shared with me that will make your life a little easier.
You don't need to spend a fortune on an expensive gym membership and you don't need the newest Nike running shoes to get fit. Too many people blame a lack of money (and time) on their inability to get healthy. But, not anymore! Here are five ways to workout for free.
1. Go on YouTube
Every personal trainer in the world has their own YouTube channel, many of which offering excellent free workout videos. Our favorite by far is Cassey Ho's Blogilates - she specializes in exercises you can do at home, and it's all absolutely free. You don't even NEED a yoga mat to do these exercises, although a mat does make it much more comfortable.
2. Hit the Library
Your local library is a very under-utilized resource. Did you know that most stock dozens of modern health and fitness magazines? Not to mention tons of books that will help you lose weight. Check out your library and go home with a stack of magazines and books to inform and inspire you.
3. Join a League
A lot of community centres have free sports leagues that you can join. If they're not free, they are often very inexpensive. Sports and recreational activities are a cost-effective way to live an active lifestyle.
We try to eat healthy foods. We really do. But sometimes it's just not easy. Here are 8 foods the world keeps telling you are healthy, but in reality, you may want to think again.
1. Turkey Bacon
Okay, so it's lower in saturated fat and calories, which is good, but it often has way more sodium. Most slices of turkey bacon have over 600 milligrams of sodium which is more that 25% of your daily required amount.
2. Fat-Free Salad Dressing
Often when something is "fat free" the manufacturers have to add something to compensate for missing flavour and texture. With salad dressing, they often load it up with sugar and chemical fillers to help with texture.
3. Vegetable Chips
GOD I wish these were healthy, but they aren't. Veggie chips are deep fried and full of fat and calories. They also have tons of salt. Some brands add a bunch of potato flour to add weight - so watch out for those ones.
