Behold the power of juice! No I’m not talking about the orange drink found in a plastic jug on your supermarket shelf; I’m talking about using a countertop appliance to extract the juice from fresh fruits and vegetables. For some of you die hard ‘jug juicers’ this concept may be completely foreign, so let me start at the beginning.
What is juicing?
Juicing has always been around but in more recent years we have moved from manual juicing (think those little lemon juicers and manual presses) to incredible motorized juicing machines. If you have ever owned a TV I’m sure you’ve seen the infomercial for Jack Lalanne’s Power Juicer and maybe you seriously considered buying one. Don’t forget that Jack lived to an amazing 98 years old, and swore by juicing and a healthy diet that did not contain any processed food. He lived by "if man made it, don't eat it" seems pretty simple doesn’t it?

Everyone goes through a point in their lives where they hate the way they look, but many don’t have the motivation to change themselves for the better.
In December of 2014, I decided I had had enough with the way I regarded myself. In only two weeks, I dropped a pound, lost four inches around my waist, fit into jeans I hadn’t worn for years, and I felt confident.
The first step to starting a transformation is motivation. I weighed myself, and then took a few pictures of how I looked in my bikini. My starting weight was 164 pounds and I wasn’t happy with that, but in my transformation, I began to realize that the number on the scale didn’t mean as much as how you feel about yourself. The pictures I took became my motivation. I hated what I saw and whenever I felt like giving up, I remembered them.

In 2012 I woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and said to myself "you are fat," so for the first time in my life, I did something about it.
Give yourself a goal: What do you want to look like what body type do you want? Then work towards meeting your goal. Here are some notes on things that I did and noticed along my weight loss journey. I hope they help!
