Coconut products like coconut oil, water, and milk, have become some of the hottest “must have” items over recent years.

There’s a reason for that too – they’re perfect for diet reasons and beauty.

Coconut itself has many different properties. There’s the water and the actual flesh of the fruit – all of its contents, no matter what form, can be helpful to our daily lives because coconut is one of the best sources for vitamin A, as well as many other nutrients.

The most common coconut product is coconut oil, which is used for various reasons. Let’s take a look at five reasons why coconut oil, especially, should become a part of your daily life.

Coconut oil reduces appetite and increases fat burning – automatically making it a great weight loss supplement. Studies have shown, though, that it not only does all of those amazing things, but it also reduces fat in our abdominal area. Even though coconut oil itself is a fat, consider it a decently healthy fat. Don’t eat it in abundance because there are some risks to consuming it in heavy doses, but add it in to little cuisines and hopefully the weight will be getting shredded.

First things first, let’s discuss the beauty aspects of coconut oil. If you’re someone who loves to contour, and on top of that, uses natural products – coconut oil should be added to your beauty list. It adds a shiny glow to our skin, so if you find yourself craving some highlights on those cheekbones, scoop out a little bit and dab it on in the necessary areas.

In a study, roughly ten years ago, researchers discovered that coconut oil has the ability to improve memory problems. The reason is could possibly help is because when we get older, our bodies begin to lose the ability to process glucose (this is more prominent in Alzheimer’s patients). Thanks to the Ketones, which is a chemical produced during a shortage of insulin, our bodies are able to process glucose and thus, give us energy. How coconut oil fits into this equation is because coconut oil contains Ketones – and helps power our brain, which processes glucose through its own insulin.

One of the best massage oils to use, coconut oil can help improve our skin barriers and leave us feeling fresh and soft. A nice homemade remedy includes mixing it with oats to create a nice softening treatment. It’s a great healing agent for skin too thanks to its antioxidants and other nutrimental properties. Thanks to coconut oil’s hydrating ingredients, it’s also a perfect shaving cream – it’ll leave them silky smooth and leave a nice tropical scent.

5. Cooking Uses

Obviously one of the biggest reasons to add coconut oil to your life is because it’s a great cooking agent. There are many oils that aren’t good to use for frying or high heat in general, coconut oil is not one of them – it’s actually one of the best options for frying up any food. Along with that, it’s a healthy replacement for butter – so spread it on toast or add it to a recipe.


There is legitimately so many benefits and uses to coconut oil. It’s a great makeup remover, can reduce risks of cancers, dental benefits, the list can continue forever. The most it’ll cost to purchase a mason jar of coconut oil is roughly $12, and can be found at just about any beauty store or grocery store.

    I add coconut oil to my morning coffee instead of sugar. Amazing to say the least! And I like to think of it as a healthier option. Once you try it regular coffee will be so bland!

    Interesting article.
    To lose weight you have to have determination and of course there are foods that help.
    I found a great ebook. It worked for me, I lost 10 pounds in the first 21 days.
