Skinny Teatox Evening Tea

If you’ve been using Skinny Teatox products for any amount of time, you may have noticed they have helped you feel cleansed and aid in detoxing your body, offering an improvement in energy, and making you feel less fatigued.

If you haven’t tried them, maybe it’s because you’re skeptical that it’s just another gimmick on the market, promising you short term results, or worse yet, results that don’t materialize at all, and leaving you just a little bit less in your bank account.

The truth though, is that Skinny Teatox products are made of all natural herbs, with hundreds of years of proven benefits behind them.

In other words, people have been using these herbs straight from the earth for many years and now we’ve just conveniently put them altogether in the best combination to help you achieve the weight loss and cleansing benefits you are after.

Skinny Teatox evening detox tea isn’t designed as a fast weight loss program, or as an alternative to eating a healthy, clean diet and regular exercise.

Here's a deeper look into our 100% natural ingredients:

Senna leaves

A natural laxative, senna is the most prominent laxative ingredient in the tea.

It is a herbal laxative used regularly to help ease constipation and hence you may find yourself in the bathroom first thing in the morning the night after you drink the tea.

Buckthorn bark

Another laxative herb, buckthorn bark works with senna to help agitate the intestine and colon and force the movement of wastes and toxins through the digestive tract to the bowel to be eliminated.

Herbs that have a laxative effect are important during periods of detox, as often toxins and undigested food ends up stuck in the colon, narrowing the opening for movement of waste and causing further toxins to build up within the system.

This sets up the perfect living environment for bad gut bacteria to move in and causes things such as gas, bloating and constipation.

Dandelion leaves

While dandelion acts as a mild laxative, the main benefit of dandelion leaves in the tea is to support the liver.

The liver is the body’s cleaning crew: everything we eat and drink is filtered through the liver to be metabolized and detoxified so that the nutrients can be removed and delivered to their proper place throughout the rest of the body.

Poor liver function means the liver gets sluggish and we are unable to properly metabolize our food.

When this happens, the liver gets overloaded and ends up sending partly digested products t to be dispersed throughout the body.

The result is failure to absorb our nutrients properly, as well as a lot of toxins because we are not breaking things down, and the liver is yielding toxic byproducts in its overloaded state.

As a result, proper liver function is key in reducing toxic overload and helping you to lose weight.

Burdock root

The main function of burdock root is its antibiotic, antimicrobial and antibacterial effects.

The stomach is full of bacteria.

In a healthy digestive system, this should be dominated by healthy bacteria (probiotics) which are responsible for aiding in digestion and detoxification, produce B vitamins, inhibit growth of bad bacteria, aid in immune system health, reduce skin problems and metabolize cholesterol, among several other benefits.

When the digestive system is lacking in these or is dominated by bad bacteria, these processes don’t happen as efficiently and can result in weight gain, regular bloating and poor detoxification.

Burdock root is also a mild laxative and promotes sweating to further aid in elimination of toxins.

Lemongrass

Like burdock root, lemongrass is an antifungal, helping to remove toxins, which may be lingering in the digestive system and intestine.

It is also a digestive aid, so it helps stimulate food to move through the digestive system, as well as helps encourage release of appropriate digestive enzymes for proper food breakdown and elimination of toxins.

Peppermint leaves

With all of the cleansing and contraction actions happening in the digestive system, it is not unusual to experience cramps, nausea, upset stomach, or just overall digestive disruption.

Peppermint is a soothing herb, which acts to relax the muscles and ease symptoms of digestive distress.

It also has a numbing effect, which acts on the intestine and colon, easing the muscles and reducing the associated discomfort.

Rosehips

This common backyard plant is a powerhouse in terms of its role in detox tea.

It has anti-microbial and antiviral properties, which help in removing toxins and bad bacteria from the gut and it is also an astringent and digestive stimulant.

This means it pulls things such as toxins and retained water out of the body and digestive system and then stimulates the small and large intestine to move it through the digestive tract and through the colon.

Furthermore, it is anti-inflammatory, allowing it to have a soothing effect on the gut while moving waste.

Another important role of rosehips however, which isn’t exhibited by the other herbs, is that it aids in bile production.

Bile is needed to help emulsify and digest fats, eliminate cholesterol and is also in low quantity when the liver gets overloaded, as it is trying to cope with the excess of toxins that the liver sends through to the gall bladder.

Having extra bile during a process of detox helps ensure toxins are eliminated and not simply sent back through to the digestive system or released into the body.

Upon finishing the tea, to help maintain these cleansed paths of your body and continue to benefit from them, as well as maintain your weight loss, it is important to continue to maintain a healthy lifestyle. To do so, drink lots of water, eat a whole food, healthy diet and consume adequate healthy fats.

In addition to consuming the tea, and changing your lifestyle, it is important to drink lots of water, exercise and sweat regularly and look after your lymphatic system.  This is your internal detox system that removes wastes from your cells.  To promote a healthy lymphatic system, make sure to sweat daily, take Epsom salt baths, have alternating hot and cold showers and practice deep breathing.
