Shopping for the latest health and wellness guru in your family? Or perhaps you just want to treat yourself with something healthy to help you start 2018 with the right foot forward!
Here’s what to buy:
A nut milk kit – If you're a DIY foodie, make your own nut milk. While the process is simple (provided they have a blender), it does go more smoothly with a few pieces of helpful equipment. Purchase a nut milk bag and a couple of bottles with a leak-proof seal. Include a selection of nuts, such as hazelnuts, pistachios and cashews and gift it to the recipient in a large canister that he or she can use for nut storage.
Magazine subscription – There is an abundance of different health magazine publications, ranging in everything from fitness magazines to food and cooking to self-care and nutrition. Choose a specific area of health and wellness that your recipient is most passionate about and subscribe to a year supply of reading material!
Superfood Pack – Buy a big selection of different superfoods. This could include things such as spirulina, wheatgrass maca and mesquite, as well as select nuts and dried fruit. You could even complete the pack by including a unique spoon and bowl to use for all those delicious smoothie bowls that he or she loves!
Herb and Spice Selection – There are many herbs and spices which have incredible health benefits and whose uses extend far beyond simply adding flavor to food. Research some of these wellness-promoting options, or ask your recipient what his or her favourites are and put together a selection for a gift. Don’t know where to start? Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory promoting root, while different types of mushrooms have incredibly beneficial adaptogenic properties.
Class Pass – Go to a local boutique fitness studio and ask about buying a casual pass. Many studios initiate special offers at the beginning of the year to encourage individuals to stay healthy and involved in their fitness routine over the holiday period and to start the year off right.
Specialized wellness – Instead of a fitness class pass, buy your recipient or yourself a pass or gift card to a specialized wellness center. This might be a location that offers certain types of massages, a visit to a floatation center or a hot springs, or a holistic services session like one for lymphatic cleansing. Do a bit of research into specialized wellness services in your local area and you may be surprised at what you find that would make a great gift for a special someone.
