You have no doubt heard or read lots floating around online about cleanses and detoxes.

And while the concept is sound – clean up your body and reduce harmful toxins that may be circulating – sometimes the execution is less black and white: some of them sound complicated, expensive, and you just don’t know which one is right for you. 

It's also easy to do cleanses wrong.

While it may be great to do 14 day teatox cleanse, you can't simply eat whatever you want and not exercise and expect to see good results. 

When it comes to cleansing and detoxifying, the best thing to do is create a plan that focuses on cleansing and detoxifying the body as a whole.

And the good news is, you can do this with just a few simple steps.

Here are some things to do WHILE you're on your Teatox cleanse! 

Increase Your Water Intake

    One of the simplest and most important things you can do for body cleansing is to drink more water. Everything that your body needs to detoxify and eliminate requires the use of water. You can think of water as the flushing fluid, that allows your body to absorb the toxins and then flush them through your system to be eliminated.

    Remove Processed Foods

    Processed foods not only contain little to no nutritional value to add to your diet, but they also typically rob your body of stored vitamins and minerals to be able to digest and absorb the foods properly. Furthermore, breaking down these foods is energetically taxing on the body, adding extra stress, which does not offer an environment that is conducive to detoxification.

    Up Healthy Fats

    Healthy fats, such as monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat, as well as Omega 3 Fatty acids are essential fats for the body. The body uses these fats to aid in digestion, improve skin and nail health, maximize immune function and optimize brain activity. A lack of fat in the diet does not allow organs to perform essential tasks, such as natural detoxification in the liver, and adequate food elimination in the digestive organs.

    Get Your Greens

    While adding any fresh vegetables to your diet is going to boost your body’s natural cleansing and detoxification process, greens have a particularly great benefit thanks to their high content of antioxidants, iron, B vitamins and fibre. This killer combo of nutrients and compounds allows these simple greens to pack a punch when it comes keeping you healthy and optimally detoxified!

    Incorporate Detox Beverages

    While it is important to drink water, you can also add in natural detoxifying beverages, which make use of detoxifying herbs and ingredients such as ginger, chili, adaptogens and lemon. These also often help with bloating or indigestion and are a great after-dinner beverage to enjoy.

    Your body is very good at executing cleansing and detoxification on its own when it needs it, and in fact, does so every night while you are asleep! Provide it with the right tools and ingredients and it will continue to do so and allow you to be healthy, feel good and have maximal energy!
